Outlook Editor: Creating your Outlook

Overview:
An Outlook can be created once you have a collection with published forecasts for each included location. Once an Outlook is published, it is available in web, pdf and jpg formats for a wide variety of sharing options. The published Outlook and each of it's location forecasts are available for download from the WFAQRP Outlook viewer page: https://outlooks.wildlandfiresmoke.net/outlook

Creating an Outlook:
Once your have your collection and all locations added with forecasts current, you can now hit the "Edit Outlook" button and you will be taken to the Outlook screen. Enter information and edit map as necessary to add fire icons and hazards. Once complete, continue to "Preview" for a final check and if all looks correct, then "Publish". Once published, each location forecast and the outlook will all be available via the IWFAQRP Outlook Viewer page: https://outlooks.wildlandfiresmoke.net/outlook

Editing an Outlook:
A published Outlook can be edited at any time. From your collections home page, find your collection that corresponds with you Outlook, ensure location forecasts are still current (green color) then click button to "Edit Outlook". Modify map or text as needed and republish.
Formatting Tips:
Line Break - "<br/>"Use a single line break to move to the next line of text, or use two line breaks in a row to create a blank line in between two paragraphs of text.
Bold font - "<b>text here</b>"Use the format above to make the 'text here' be in bolded font to emphasize a statement or words.
Italic font - "<i>text here</i>"Use the format above to make the 'text here' be in italicize font to emphasize a statement or words.
Make a word that is a clickable html link - "<a href="https://foo.com">Foo</a>" (the word "Foo" will be the link in this example)
OR
Make the URL a clickable html link - "<a href="https://foo2.com">https://foo2.com</a>"
Editing the Map on your Outlook:
Click the blue "Edit Map" button located on the map to edit labels and zoom.
Once in the "Edit Map Icons and Labels" page, you can proceed to add/remove hazard icons and change label name and placement
Add icons (fire/hazard):
On the icons table, select "fire" or "hazard" from the drop down, then on the map find the icon button and click it. Your cursor will change to the icon you selected (fire or hazard) and you can click on the map to place the icon. After placing the icon, an entry is created under the "Icons" table and you can add a name to the icon (ie fire name or hazard name)
Remove icons:
Click the trash button, click icon to be removed on map, click "Save" next to the trash button.
Move labels on map:
On map, click the "Edit Layers" icon button. All moveable text will be highlighted on the map. Drag labels to desired location and then hit "Save" next to icon button
Sharing a single location in multiple Outlooks:
Multiple Outlooks can share a single location so long as the location forecast is current. If ARA #1 updates the location forecast, ARA #2 can see the forecast was updated and use it in their Outlook as part of their own Collection, no add'l work required. It is always recommended to verify a forecast before using it.
